Government Arts College- Bhesan is one of the seven model colleges established in Gujarat state in the year 2012 by Department of Higher Education, Gujarat. The college is affiliated to Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University- Junagadh, regulated by Commissionerate of Higher Education, Gandhinagar – Gujarat, and adhering the norms of UGC (University Grant Commission). The college has been built with the noble thought of catering the need for higher education in the rural region. The best education is provided by GEC Class-II professors selected by GPSC and recruited by the Department of Higher Education of Gujarat.
The college is equipped with well-furnished classrooms, resourceful library, Central Hall, playground, Ladies room, Indoor games Room, and hygienic facilities.
